A downloadable game

Concept:

In this game, the only way to move is by Dashing. Eliminated enemies drop coins which can be used to Upgrade the player's damage, health, etc. Many rooms also contain chests, when destroyed they have a chance to drop a PowerUp orb. The orb gives the player 3 PowerUps which they can choose from. Every 5 levels a boss spawns. When the player Dies, the player must start again. The player starts on the next level of the last boss they defeated.

PowerUps:

There are 4 rarities of PowerUps: 

  • Common (Green)
  • Rare (Blue)
  • Ultra Rare (Purple)
  • Legendary (Yellow)

Common being the worst, and Legendary the best. Some PowerUps can only be obtained once per run, such as the Phoenix PowerUp which gives the player one extra life. And other can be obtained multiple times. Whenever the player gets a PowerUp they already have, they upgrade it.

Enemies:

Many games have enemies that essentially do the same thing. I try to make every enemy Unique. For example the orange enemy stands out with a shield in front of them, which has a lot of health. Fortunately this enemy doesn't rotate very fast which allows the player to dash behind it and take it out from there. 

Bosses:

At the time of writing this, there is only one boss (Big Red). This boss is more of a template than an actual boss. Right now Big Red can only shoot a volley of 3 big projectiles. But in the future I plan on adding custom behaviors like: Dodging, Dashing, Special moves, and more.
